FOR THOSE
THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE RECENT SPANKY'S OPEN MIC:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We are already planning our next Open Mic. I will text you when Skip and I have worked it out.
If we get enough participation, we
may do Open Mic each week AND
do an All-Star Acoustic Open Mic once a month to make
audio / video recording.

This page is for the benefit of our musicians that participated in "Open Mic"
This was our first and we learned a lot.
The flashing lights: we will work on that. (Videos are too dark and the lights changing is annoying to watch)
The flashing lights were stopped for Toni's performance and you can see it made a great difference!
Loud ambient crowd noise.
We are experimenting coming off the sound board and / or putting a microphone
behind the band
and running straight to the video recorder. (eliminate / greatly reduce crowd
rumble)
Still, for our first, this is good and gives people watching a sample of what each act sounds like.
I would like each act to look over and edit. Let me know what you think is your best part and we will add it to the this website.
Also, if you are NOT advertising on
our "Local Bands" section, we suggest you do so. (Only $100 for a year)
Those that have done so have already gotten some gigs from it.
GREAT EXPOSURE AND WE ARE IMPROVING AND GROWING!!!
These are .wmv files. If you'd like a high resolution mpeg (or dvd), would like them edited, etc. Contact me at rob@riverratrob.com
Note: These files are unedited (full length of each musician's performance)
The files are rather large. Right click and save to your computer, if you have trouble viewing (or if they buffer, stop and start a lot).
We suggest each act watch their own video closely (to look for ways to improve) AND to watch all the other videos, as well (same reason).
One HUGE benefit of this "Open Mic" was that performers got to see and listen to others, which will only help them improve.
