5-27-08 I don't often stumble across well mannered nice teenagers that are willing to work these days (and can make a complete sentence). I met one the other day. His name is Forrest McConnell. He is a high school student and does lawn care and miscellaneous outdoor work (pressure washing, etc). I will see if I can post his flyer in the next few days. On his flyer he says he will do work on River Highlands and Three Rivers Island. Check with him, he tells me he has dependable transportation now and can do all sides of Diversion Canal and other spots nearby. You can call Forrest at 225-936-4320. A good dude and a hard worker.
The Springfield Fire Dept has their poker run coming up soon and the St. Amant Fire Dept has "Rockin The River at RatStock." Both of these departments had a lot of people out there helping me with The JAM. I'd appreciate it if you would give them your full support. If you get to know these volunteer fire fighters and first responders, you will find they are some great people. I will find out how to send them a donation, if you are unable to attend their events. Thanks. Check out their website and consider e-mailing them a "Thank You." There is NO WAY I would have attempted The JAM this year, had it not been for all their help. (Note: District 4 was also there (Walker, LA). Besides fire fighters and first responders, these are the guys with the dive team to do search, rescue, and recovery. Unfortunately, at this time they do not have a fundraiser event coming up. Still, check out all their websites and get to know all of these fine people. Another request. (Most especially for my friends connected in the new / used car business). I know a guy that does paint-less dent removal. He is good, in fact, he's very good. He is looking for car dealerships, rental car businesses, etc., but does remove dents for individuals, as well. He is also great with cars that have hail damage. So, if you got an ugly dent that is bugging you, consider Justin. Presently, he is making runs to New Orleans, Lafayette, Gulfport, and more. He is my other son and Jonathan's brother, and he just moved back here from Orlando. (For you single ladies, he's never been married, good teeth, reliable transportation, has a good job, doesn't do drugs, no kids, financially stable, and has good bone structure).
