"Give......give 'til it hurts!" (Just like those old time southern Baptist preachers say). This website is expensive. It takes up a huge part of my time. It has never made a profit. There are lots of things we want to do to improve and expand. Lots of new, better, and faster equipment we need. Like everything else, it just takes money, lots of work, and time.
One of my favorite songs goes like "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you got until it's gone." Imagine a world without www.RiverRatRob.com. Sad, huh? Almost frightening. Fear not. We're not going anywhere. Not this year, for sure.
Advertising is expensive. I don't know how a lot of businesses afford it. Those that can afford it have never really taken our little website seriously. Having a full time job, keeping up with the website, promoting events on the water, and developing new maps takes up all of my time. Not much time left to go chasing advertisers (and for sure, they don't chase me). So, for the first time, we are setting up a donations sections for those that like the site and appreciate what we do and want to help us expand and improve.
