Things we need: (3-20-08)
Please don't just run out and buy something on this list. If you'd like to help, contact us and let us know. {We don't want 15 of one thing and one of another}. A bit of coordination is necessary.
1. (This is not critical, but would be very cool). We need (want) a t-shirt bazooka. The guy that was going to build it, unfortunately, is in jail. If we have any innovative, engineering types out there, it would be cool. Where's McGiver when you need him? We have an electriv air compressor, so flammable propellants aren't necessary. A t-shirt launcher kind of like the potato blasters I hear about sometime.
2. Lots and lots of pvc pipe (preferably over 1" and less than 2". Need a bunch of L's and T's for it, as well.
3. Several large helium balloons (with helium bottle and long strong string. THis is for the medical unit and so people can spot it from anywhere at The Sand Bar.
4. Lots of really good Mardi Gras beads. The kind that when you catch at a parade you go "Oh, hell yeah." We could bet bunches and bunches of the cheap stuff, but that's not much fun for the band to throw or for people to catch. We hope to come up with the nice stuff to throw to people, rather than junk.
5. Kites. Seen this in the past. Would like someone to fly some big, cool kites way up in the air. Serves no purpose, but looks cool..
6. We need people to bring garbage bags on their boat, keep up with their trash, and haul it back. There's no possible way we can haul everything back that people bring out. If everybody does a little, nobody has to do a lot.
7. The loan of 3 big (and quiet generators) for power. Probably Honda would be the quietest. Any suggestions?
8. Wood for any additional construction (not sure how much).
9. Swimming pool ladders. Those white kind that are like triangle shaped. Much more stable for getting on and off the stage. We have quite a few barges, so we need a bunch.
10. Nice beach balls and Frisbees to throw.
11. Know anybody with a helicopter? We could get much better aerial photos with a helicopter.
12. From some of our music stores, we need some acoustic guitars to have signed by the bands.
